Nail Polish Appreciation! Part 1

I was inspired by olde_fashioned to make a post about my favorite nail polish colors. So I will, but I'll make a little series out of it, because there are a lot of them! Ironically, I almost never wore nail polish until about a year ago. Before then, I didn't have the patience to paint my nails and wait for them to dry.

For round one, the theme is: PINK! (Wave your hand if you heard Benedict Cumberbatch yelling in your head as you read that. :D)



Essence: 04 Ultimate Pink

This color works with almost everything in my wardrobe. XD

Sally Hansen: 18 VIP Pink

I love this one as well, but it drives me crazy, because it's so opaque it takes a ton of coats (unless you use apply a coat of matte polish beneath it), and it's a pain to take off.

Revlon: 130 Candy

This one's really easy to apply and take off, and perfect for when I want a quieter color than my usual bold and dark stuff. :)

Sally Hansen: 05 Rockstar Pink

Much as I love this color, I have to dispute the name. Sure, there are pink dots in it, but the dominating color, as least my eyes, is PURPLE.

There are four other pinks in my collection, but they're Ulta and NYC brand, and for some reason, no good images are coming up for them. I'll have to snap my own photos later . . .

You have such bold taste! I'm more of a purple/silver girl myself but those pinks are just like a splash of summer! I can imagine wearing them on a really sad day and getting cheered up at once!

I agree, the last one is definitely purple.

It's not a bad thing at all. He has a magnificent voice. :D

I've loved bright pinks from infancy. It's bred into me, I guess. I really like silver as well, but the metallic silver color I've got is a real hassle to apply. So fussy!
