. . . with my real-life BFF. I have a LOT of quibbles with the storyline and character changes in Love Never Dies, but I still love the music itself. And the costumes--always the costumes. I want that entire outfit that Anna O'Byrne (who is now my second-favorite Christine Daae of all time) is wearing. Or, at the very least, that lovely necklace! :)

. . . that Celtic Woman can't possibly make me adore them as a group any more than I already do . . .

. . . they DO make me adore them even more.

(Here's a link to the full video, which I can't embed, sadly.)

If so, what do you think of it? I thought it was good, though I still have special place in my heart for the 2005 Emmy Rossum version, flaws and all, because it was the first version of the musical I saw.

Rambling this way . . . )

This song was played before the sermon at my church today. Usually, the CCM (Contemporary Christian Music) songs they play bore me to death. But this song . . . this song had me on the brink of tears. I can't listen to Christian music unless I find it emotionally and spiritually stimulating. This song was more than that to me. :)

How does this little girl sing so well? She is truly blessed. (And Nella Fantasia is one of those songs that never fails to move me almost to tears.)

. . . that Chloe Agnew was only fifteen years old, and singing beautifully, back in the day when Celtic Woman was just beginning. Wow. She never ceases to amaze me.

. . . that it's well-nigh impossible to choose a favorite.

But I think this rendition of Sarah Brightman's might just be my favorite. :)

Yes, I am still alive. Very much alive. And very busy.

Ahhhhh . . . simply lovely.

Snagged a quiz from [livejournal.com profile] litlover12. It's really fun, even though it completely ignores a few genres (why do some people act as if gothic rock doesn't exist?!) and isn't entirely accurate.

And my result:

Reflective & Complex

69% Reflective-Complex, 69% Intense-Rebellious, 46% Upbeat-Conventional and 15% Energetic-Rhythmic!

The Reflective and Complex dimension projects a broad spectrum of both positive and negative emotions that is quite complex in structure.

The Reflective and Complex dimension was positively related to Openness to New Experiences, self-perceived intelligence, verbal (but not analytic) ability, and political liberalism and negatively related to social dominance orientation and athleticism. These correlations, along with item-level analyses of the Big Five [Personality] Inventory, suggest that individuals who enjoy listening to reflective and complex music tend to be inventive, have active imaginations, value aesthetic experiences, consider themselves to be intelligent, tolerant of others, and reject conservative ideals.

Short Test of Music Preferences.

Now, for my analysis of the analysis of my musical tastes . . . )
