"Let It Go" Appreciation

More and more, I'm developing a fascination for listening to the same song in several languages. It's just so engrossing, gauging the different tone each language lends to a song. Pretty much goes without saying that anything in the Romance languages sounds especially wonderful.

Here's "Let It Go" in French (possibly my favorite):























And last, the language I'm really excited about, and can't wait until entire soundtrack is released, Japanese. I listen to a lot of Japanese music, especially rock, even though I know only five words or so. (Might be posting more about that later, if only to shake things up a bit.)



Can you tell I'm WAY too obsessed with this song? :)

Oh, I loved this movie and this song! Even if ithe Italian song is wonderful (but I hate the actress who sang it, lol), the original one is flawless! ♥

I LOVE listening to animated movies songs in different languages. my favorite languages to listen to are Icelandic, and Japanese! so let me know if you find' Let it Go' in Icelandic b/c I can't find it anywhere ;_;

Heh, I didn't really mention my obsession with J-rock here, since it's more Austen/Tolkien oriented (I tend to leave J-rock to my tumblr and my other LJ). That's gonna change, though. My favorite solo artist is GACKT, and if I had to choose just one band, it'd be L'arc~en~Ciel. (Gotta give honorary mention to The Gazette, my latest obsession in music, before Frozen.)

In upcoming films there's this which I'm dying to see: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jwTU_-UpU9g

My absolute favorite is La Vita E Bella. It's in Italian with English subtitles, and it's a comedy-drama set during the 1940s-the Holocaust. it's absolutely gorgeous and completely heartbreaking and I can't recommend it enough. <3

Joyeux Noël is about 1/4 in English, I'd guess and the rest is subtitled German and French (it's French made) and it's SO beautiful even if it makes me cry every time. it's about the Christmas Truce during WWI so it's sort of a holiday movie but I watch it year round. (:

La Belle et la Bête (the 40s version, French) is quite interesting. A lot of things in Disney's Beauty and the Beast were taken from it instead of the original fairytale so it's fun to see how many later versions have been inspired by it.

Ladri di Biciclette (Italian) is an absolute classic and it's quite good. It was the first foreign film I saw.

Lancelot du Lac (French) is very..odd, shall we say? But it's really beautiful to look at and I love the way it portrays Lancelot and Guinevere's relationship.

That actress is named Serena Autieri and she's a little overestimated! She isn't a good actress, she's vain, but she has a great voice and I have to say that her voice is fine for the movie! (:

oooo~ Gackt! I LOVED him when he was in Malice Mizer (wow, that ages me...) yay for jrock in general. I used to be OBSESSED with Dir en Grey 0_o haven't listened to them in ages and ages though.....

Sounds like she was an ideal choice for an animated movie--you don't have to watch her face, just listen to her singing. :)

Awww, a lot of people were and are still obsessed with Sailor Moon. I haven't watched any episodes (yet), but the music and animation, I must admit, is lovely. :)
