Thank you
rolliraserin and
princessjune for the lovely V-gifts! *hugs*
How was the end of October for everyone? Good? Bad? Meh? Weird?
For me, I'd have to go with weird. Lots of crazy stuff happening at work lately.
October 30th, a poor woman got hit by a car in a crosswalk. She was conscious, but unable to move. Her little boy was practically unscathed, mercifully. I felt awful having to stick to my register and ring, without being able to do anything to help. And I felt even more awful for another cashier who has a hard time even talking about car accidents because she lost her son in one twelve years ago.
On Halloween, a gal at the front desk noticed a woman looking like she was about to faint outside, so we got her inside, gave her candy and water, and called paramedics AGAIN. I'm not sure how she was doing, but I hope she's okay now, as well as that woman and the little boy. I was surprised that after the paramedics left, the other girl associates were just talking about never seeing real-life firefighters before, and how none of the ones that came were cute. O.o

Um, does it matter, really? Unless one of them happens to be stunning, how can you even think about cuteness, or a lack of it, when firefighters show up in response to a potential emergency? Sometimes, I don't get other girls at all. Maybe they felt that way BECAUSE they've never been in a situation like that. I've seen firefighters up close and personal several times; nothing new to me. I'd rather not see them, because that means everything's okay.
Anyhoo, now I'm beginning to jokingly wonder if somebody randomly cursed my store's building or something. If I spot Winchesters poking things with sticks, then I'll know my hunch was right. XD

Date: 2012-11-01 08:52 pm (UTC)My last week of October was weird too. I made some big decisions and now I will have to deal with the consequences haha Well, at least, hopefully, the consequences will be good.
I hope you will have a more peaceful time at work in November :)

Thank you! I think we'd all appreciate a drama-free November. :D

Date: 2012-11-05 12:30 pm (UTC)I have always feared that something would happen, and nobody was around to help.
It's just a men in uniform thing, I think ;)
And also.. if the Winchester boys comes around your work,I think we need to get in shape and learn how to use guns so we can hunt with them :D

Date: 2012-11-05 07:24 pm (UTC)Me, too. Luckily, there were plenty around to take care of things until paramedics arrived.

There's an idea. (Though I find firefighter/paramedic uniforms rather boring, as far as uniforms go. LOL!)

Yes, so long as we're granted immunity from the terrible deaths that inevitably fall to female characters on the show. XD

Date: 2012-11-07 06:02 am (UTC)Oh, and I almost forgot. Priest uniforms, if worn by the right gents, aren't half bad, either.
