Thank you [livejournal.com profile] rolliraserin and [livejournal.com profile] princessjune for the lovely V-gifts! *hugs*

How was the end of October for everyone? Good? Bad? Meh? Weird?

For me, I'd have to go with weird. Lots of crazy stuff happening at work lately.

Our store has had to call for paramedics twice, in two consecutive days. )

Hello, all! Last few days have been a whirlwind of busy-ness and fatigue. (I say busy-ness instead of business, because there was nothing business-y about it. Yes, I'm feeling like butchering my native--and only--language today.) Fun, but not fun, because I've been separated from my preciousssss, the internet and the people on it. :D

But now I must fangirl over the premiere of Supernatural Season 8. This is special to me in so many ways, because for the first time, I'm caught up on a TV series just as it's actually, factually happening. That is an awesome feeling, minus the suspense rendered by commercials and waiting an entire week for the next episode. I'm used to blazing through 2 to 4 episodes a day.

Without dropping too many spoilers, let's just say I really enjoyed the episode, but felt it just a tad off. Like they had to amble through a set-up of the premise that really felt like nothing had happened, and the good stuff was still to come. Best part of the episode was, by far, our boys being reunited for the bajillionth time. That will never, ever get old.

And neither will this GIF. :D

. . . that you walk across your dark bedroom to turn off your CD player, only to see a silhouette of a spider on the INSIDE of the LED screen?

Well, odds or no odds, I just did. Usually, I would find that cool instead of creepy--but in this instance, this spider naturally just HAD to look like a tiny brown recluse. (And if baby spiders are anything like baby snakes when it comes to not knowing when to stop spewing venom . . . yikes.)

My poor CD player is going to have to spend the night outside. Hopefully, nothing else will crawl inside after the spider decides to leave.

And the images of brown recluses (sprinkled with horrifically unattended brown recluse bites) that I looked at are certainly not helping me feel like going to sleep. (Ironically, I was having a great night before this. Finally decided that it would be cheaper to buy separate DVD and Blu-ray copies of The Hunger Games and watched the Blu-Ray. Ahhhhhh.)

I've been wanting to whip out a new layout to match the banner above for a long, long time, but I hadn't worked up the gumption. Until now. I've tweaked this layout a bit, and I'm still not sure if I'm done tweaking yet or not. (The layout, I mean. Saying "tweaking" always feels wrong, somehow, no matter what the context. LOL.) I'll probably grow lazy and leave this as is. We'll see.

All I know right now is, my sleep pattern for the last few days has been ridiculously messed up (always staying up late, sometimes waking up early, sometimes waking up really late, sometimes taking long naps--even though I NEVER take naps). So I'm in a weird mood, and I can't decide if I feel more like this:

Or this:

I . . . think I'll just get some rest. Night all! Namarie!

I'm going up to Payson, AZ with my family to play around in the woods tomorrow! And I'm excited. I just hope we can wander around for hours on end. Be prepared for lots of pictures soon! :)

I'm running out of wall space in my bedroom. :(

when you feel as if you've been living under a rock? I get them all the time, because I do happen to live under a rock, and I like it. It rocks. :P But, today, I had another HOW-did-I-not-know-about-this-before moments.

Spurred by an interesting post made by [livejournal.com profile] litlover12 about taking the Myers-Briggs test for kicks, I took the test she linked to as well, and ended up INTJ as a result. Well, I had no idea what that meant, having little interest in psychology, so I naturally turned to my BFF Wikipedia.

And my jaw dropped, because the description was scary accurate. )

Hi, all! I'm rarely feeling hyper, but this is one of those few times that I do!

First off, thanks to [livejournal.com profile] msantimacassar's lovely suggestions and coaching, I have a pretty new layout. Thank you! Only thing is, for the life of me I can't figure out how to get rid of that lavender bar at the top of the page without messing everything up!

Also, I'm almost completely recovered from one of the nastiest stomach bugs I've ever encountered. At one point, I couldn't even keep water down for a 24-hour period. I'm so glad to be better, and actually able to eat and move again. Never thought of them as huge blessings, or luxuries, even, but now I'm reminded how important they really are. Thank you, Lord!

While I was sick, I started watching the first season of Supernatural, as I promised [livejournal.com profile] ellentessie. Stuff gets a bit too spooky and icky for my tastes, but I love watching the Winchester brothers. One minute, they're pulling pranks on each other; the next, they're going nuts trying to protect each other. Awww. I finished all 22 episodes in about 4 days. Maybe I'm addicted--just maybe.

Hope everybody has a lovely Easter! Hug somebody you love, okay? I'm not a hugging sort of person (I'm a porcupine in human form), but I'm going to make the effort.

Here are the culprits.

For at least two years, I've been saving the pattern and materials for making a cloak, with the intent of sewing it and then wearing it to the midnight premier of The Hobbit. Now, after much procrastinating, I'm finally getting this project off the ground (or, to be more specific, out from under my bed).

I'm very lucky this is a relatively simple sewing project . . . )

Yesterday was movies, movies, and more movies for me. Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children (I am helpless against the combination of pretty hair and sword-fighting) and Phantom of the Opera 2005, followed by Fellowship of the Ring and Hellboy II. But my family paused HII at midnight to cover each other in silly string, before going back for another round of "Can't Smile without You". XD

All in all, it was a great beginning to the new year.

How is 2012 treating the rest of you?

To those of you all excited about the beginning of 2012: HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

To those of you feeling a little jet-lagged by the sudden ending of 2011: Know the feeling. Maybe we'll all get better at getting used to how quickly time flies next year.

I'm feeling just the slightest bit depressed, because I would have liked to have more to speak for at the end of this year; but that's life.

And now I'm going to get wordy, like a true wannabe-novelist . . . )

NaNoWriMo is approaching. Since I’ll be trying to wrap up a novel I’m nearly through and whip up its sequel this month, I probably won’t be posting much, if at all. I’ll post when I post. See you all more often once this upcoming whirlwind of a November is over!

Yes, that is a PotC 4 GIF--couldn't help meself, it's perfect! XD

I'm so happy to have a day off that I can devote to writing!

So why am I enjoying wasting time on the internet?

Because it's fun!

All right, off to be productive. Hope everybody has a nice day!
